Our little chicks and ducklings have grown so much in two weeks, and we have so enjoyed having them! The students have done a range of activities related to our visitors, including learning all about the chicks and the life cycle of a hen. They will be going back to the farm today, where they will have more space to grown and live a happy life!

‘I want to ride my bicycle…’
Last term Wheels for All, a national accessible cycling charity, kindly leant us a range of different bikes for our lower school students to try out. The children had lots of fun and it was such a joy to see them try something new!
@wfacharity promotes inclusive cycling through a range of successful community engagement programmes, giving people the opportunity to cycle on a regular basis. They will be returning this term so that our upper school students can have a go too.

One of those tasks we all have to do is the weekly grocery shop. Our aim to equip our learners for life forms part of everything we do. Part of this is to build independence and teach our students how to go about doing those everyday tasks, like grocery shopping.

This year for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, @mindcharity is launching #NoMindLeftBehind to raise awareness of their fight for mental health.
As a school, we value the wellbeing of our students, staff and school community. To support this, we have a motivated team of trained Mental Health First Aiders who are available to support staff and student wellbeing. All our classes encourage positive language to enhance the learning environment and reduce student’s anxiety.
