Consultation - Redesignation and Expansion (now closed)
Consultation relating to the expansion and redesignation of Pond Meadow Academy Trust in collaboration with Surrey County Council
We followed guidance from Surrey County Council and guidance contained within “Making significant change to an open academy January 2022” in relation to the above consultation.
The aim of the consultation was to seek views on the proposal from all interested parties, in particular from:
- Pupils and their families who attend Pond Meadow School
- Staff members at Pond Meadow School
- Pupils and their families who may attend the school in the future
- Other Special Schools in Surrey
- Local schools and the local community
- Local county and Ward councillors and our Trustees
In conjunction with Surrey County Council's guidance we produced a timeline for the consultation process as follows:
The statutory consultation was open from Monday 26th February to Monday 25th March 2024, and included two Public engagement meetings on Monday 4th March 1.30-2.30pm (virtual) and Tuesday 12th March 9.15-10.15am (in person at Pond Meadow School). To ensure we fully informed all our stakeholders, four documents were and still are available below for information: Consultation Letter, Consulation Proposal, Consultation Questions and Answers (anticipated) and Educational Justification Document (Surrey County Council).
These documents were sent to all our parents/carers, trustees, staff and stakeholders and published here on our website. Consultation responses were invited by emailing consultation@pond-meadow.surrey.sch.uk
Throughout the consultation window regular reminders were sent out via e-mail, social media and newsletter notifications to engage all stakeholders with the process. All responses were centrally collated and shared on this page at the end of the consultation window. Please see document below 'Consultation Responses'.
