Promoting communication
Our total communication approach has many aspects, all supporting the learners and reinforcing communication. Pond Meadow staff and learners use Makaton signs, symbols and speech. To promote better communication we have symbols placed all over the school, these Assisted Learning Displays (ALDs) are on the classroom doors.
