Pond Meadow Consultation: New Satellite Site in Cobham
Pond Meadow Academy Trust is consulting on a proposal to open a new satellite site in Cobham, based at St Andrew’s C of E Primary School. This site would operate as part of Pond Meadow School and follow the same ethos, curriculum and high standards as our Guildford provision.
What is being proposed?
• A Pond Meadow satellite site offering 16–24 specialist places for pupils with autism, communication and interaction needs.
• Pupils will be new admissions only; no current Guildford pupils will move.
• Day-to-day leadership will be based on site, supported by the Pond Meadow leadership team.
Why is this needed?
• Rising demand for specialist places in Surrey.
• More pupils able to access high-quality specialist education closer to home.
• Significant cost efficiency compared to independent placements.
What will stay the same?
• Our vision, values, curriculum and safeguarding will be consistent across both sites.
• Guildford’s funding, staffing and resources will not be reduced.
